Hi, guys —

  • Is it a sin to use a pen name when publishing a book/story?
  • Also, can you make a fake profile for the name?

  { Is using a pen name a sin when publishing a book and can you create a fake profile for the name? }

Bob replied:

Amanda,

It is not a sin. People have been using pen names for centuries in order to preserve anonymity.

There could be cases where the nature of the material does not warrant anonymity and in those circumstances it would be different.

Bob Kirby
