Hi there!

I have tried searching for answers to my question, and since I am a strong believer in my Catholic faith, I want to know the definite Catholic viewpoint.

  • Is it acceptable to date a God-sibling?

She is a daughter of my godparents but we are not biologically related at all.

  • Is it against the Church if I dated her?

Thank you and the team for taking time to answer my question.

Philippians 4:13

  { Is it acceptable to date a God-sibling if we are not biologically related? }

Bob replied:

Dear Allen,

There is no sin in dating a person that has no blood ties.

Dating is tricky and often problematic for a host of other reasons, but this does not stand in your way.
