Hi, guys —

I am very much in love with a lady whose first husband is dead and divorced from all others.
I am divorced from a women who wanted out. I was not desiring this.

Mike replied:

Dear David,

No you don't; you just have to ensure that you aren't in a valid marriage from the woman who asked for the divorce. Based on what you've told me, I don't think there should be a problem, but I am not a priest and there may be some nuances I'm not aware of.

Talk to your local parish priest about the issue. I would encourage you to make an appointment.

Mike
