Hi, guys —

  • Is the Mass of St. Timothy approved for the new Roman Missal?

I'm trying to find music for the new version, but can't figure out if it's approved or not.

Mary Ann replied:

  • Are you speaking of the ordinary or the propers?

The propers may have changed, the ordinary is as it was in the old days, so a setting for the ordinary will be OK.

There is no approval or disapproval for musical settings, except that chant is recommended to have a place of honor.

Mary Ann
