Hi, guys —

I have a grandson in jail and he wants to know about the history of the Catholic Church.

I can't send him a book from my home; it needs to be sent from the publisher.

  • Can you tell me where I can order something from?

Great Grandpa Jerry
Seattle, Washington

  { Where can I order a book on the history of the Church that I can send to my grandson in prison? }

Eric replied:

Hi, Gerald —

Try The Compact History of the Catholic Church by Alan Schreck.

Of course, given that he's in prison, perhaps he has the time to read Warren Carroll's
multi-volume set, A History of Christendom. [Second source]

Mike replied:

Hi, Gerald —

I don't know of any good Catholic history books but you can always encourage him to consider buying a cheap copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church to learn everything we believe as Catholics.

You could send it directly from Amazon to the prison. On Amazon, go to Your Account, and add another Address for the prison and cell he is located.
