Hi, guys —

My question is what is the Catholic Church's stand on a Catholic attending
a physic communicating with the dead?

Maryann

  { What's the Church view on Catholics meeting with physics who communicate with the dead? }

John replied:

Hi, Maryann —

This sort of occult behavior is condemned by the Church. Scripture is very clear:

  • witchcraft
  • sorcery
  • summoning the dead
  • astrology
  • card readings, and
  • fortune telling

are SERIOUS sin and are to be avoided at all cost.

Going to a psychic is also potentially dangerous. You would be opening yourself up to demonic realm and inviting demonic oppression or possession.

STAY AWAY FROM IT!

John
